About Heirloom Lab
A Small Studio Built on the Value of Remembering
We started Heirloom Lab because the conversations families need to have are often the ones they keep putting off. Our workshops create a quiet, supported space to start them — without pressure, without judgement.

How Heirloom Lab Came to Be
Heirloom Lab grew out of a personal frustration. Our founder, a long-time Bangkok resident, spent several difficult months after a family bereavement trying to piece together which items held meaning, where key documents were kept, and what stories had never been written down. It was solvable — but only in hindsight, and only with considerable stress.
She began convening small gatherings for friends in the same situation: informal evenings where families could sit together, talk through what mattered to them, and start putting simple records in place. Word spread quietly. By 2021, what had been kitchen-table conversations had become a proper studio practice in Chatuchak.
Today Heirloom Lab runs structured workshops, hands-on inventory sessions, and a membership community — all grounded in the same belief that getting organised is an act of care for the people you love, and that it should feel that way throughout.
Our work sits firmly in the space of general education and practical organising. We are not lawyers, financial planners, or estate administrators — and we are clear about that in everything we do. When participants need those perspectives, we point them toward appropriately qualified professionals.
What we offer is something different: a facilitated, unhurried environment where the human side of organising gets the attention it deserves. Which objects carry the most memory? Who should know where a particular document is kept? What would you want your family to understand about how you think about your belongings?
These are not small questions. They deserve a considered setting. That is what Heirloom Lab is here to provide.
What Guides Us
Our Values
Gentleness First
Every session moves at the pace that feels right. We never push, never sell, never rush.
Full Transparency
We are always clear about what our service is and — equally — what it is not.
Practical Outcomes
Participants leave with something tangible — a folder, an inventory, a set of notes their family can actually use.
Deep Respect for Privacy
What families share with us stays with us. We handle every detail with discretion.

How We Work
Our Standards & Protocols
Scope Clarity
We explain precisely what our sessions include — and what they do not — before anyone books. No participant is ever surprised by a boundary they were not told about.
Participant Privacy
Information shared in any session is held in confidence. We do not record, share, or use participant data beyond what is necessary to deliver the service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
Facilitator Development
All team members complete ongoing training in facilitation ethics, active listening, and how to support participants through emotionally significant conversations.
Professional Referrals
When participants need legal, financial, or other regulated advice, we refer them to appropriate qualified professionals. We maintain a vetted signposting list for Bangkok and Thailand.
Clear Written Scope Notes
Every session summary and keepsake folder includes a plain-language note explaining that the content is a general educational resource and not professional advice.
Participant Feedback Loop
We gather structured feedback after every session and use it to refine our facilitation methods and materials. Participant voices shape how Heirloom Lab develops.
Estate Organising & Legacy Education in Bangkok
Heirloom Lab operates as a specialised organising and education studio serving families across the Bangkok metropolitan area. Our work addresses a gap that many people recognise only in retrospect: the practical and emotional effort required to understand a loved one's belongings, locate key documents, and honour the stories attached to objects when no prior record exists.
Our three core offerings — the Memory & Belongings Workshop, the Heirloom Inventory Session, and the Legacy Stories Membership — each serve a different stage of this process. Together they provide a path from initial conversation to an organised, documented keepsake record that families can return to over time. All offerings are framed as general education and practical organising; participants are always encouraged to consult qualified legal, financial, and professional advisers for matters specific to their own situation.
Situated in Chatuchak, Bangkok, Heirloom Lab runs English-language sessions accessible to both international residents and Thai families who prefer working in English. The studio environment is designed to feel welcoming rather than clinical — a place where difficult conversations about belongings, memory, and family records can unfold at a natural pace, with skilled facilitation to keep things moving gently forward.
